Last night my class at Whole Foods was all about breakfast and one comment that I get over and over again is: “I love smoothies, but the green ones taste gross.” Not always true! Try my Ultimate Superfood Smoothie recipe and find out how easy it is to make your greens taste great! I start this smoothie with one of my favorite elixirs by Tumeric Alive. It’s packed with antioxidants and anti inflammatories!
Leslie’s Ultimate Superfood Smoothie
1 12oz. Tumeric Alive original drink
1 cup hydrated chia seeds
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. sea salt
2 carrots
1 tsp. fresh chopped ginger
1 apple, cored
1/2 avocado, peeled
2 bananas
3 cups kale, lightly steamed
2 cups frozen pineapple
1 cup frozen mango
Place all the ingredients in a blender in order listed puree after you add the avocado until smooth. Then add the bananas and kale, puree again and then add the rest and puree until smooth. Drink immediately or refrigerate overnight.
Hi Leslie,
We were at the Green Festival on Friday. I won some prizes (Omega 3, kept saying Costco, etc…)
We were wondering if we could have your recipe for the smoothie you made today and the recipe of those peanut butter balls you made as well. We also loved the hummus and would like that recipe too.
Thanks and maybe we’ll see you in Redondo Beach.
Bryan
