Summer has officially hit Los Angeles! Sun is shining, garden is simply exploding with flowers and I’m tan and skinny. EEERRGHHH! Scratch that! I’m still pale white from winter and still working off all those winter pasta meals! Looks like I’m going to have to replace those pancake breakfasts with fruit shakes high in protein and fiber : ) So if you are in the same position as me, or you just like smoothies, you’ll love this Super Slimming Strawberry Blaster!
Super Slimming Strawberry Blaster
What you’ll need:
Serves 2
1 cup orange juice
1 cup soy milk
10 strawberries (I put them in the freezer so they make the smoothie cold)
1 banana
2 tbsp. chia seeds (check out this post if you don’t know what they are)
What you’ll do:
Place the liquid in your blender first, then add the fruit. Puree until smooth. Enjoy!

We use skim milk and almond milk without sugar, about half and half.
We freeze the bananas and use frozen strawberries and a few frozen blueberries too.
I am an ice cream addict, and this smoothie has not made me miss it one bit.
Frozen mango and frozen pineapple work well too.
