I often get asked questions about how to carry “kind” living into other facets in your life. Being eco-conscious isn’t just about what you eat, it is also about your lifestyle. So, I thought I’d share some of my favorite beauty products with you. Now I will preface this list by saying that I am in no way connected to any of these products, these are the products I actually use in my everyday life
I put my hair through a lot! Travels, heat treatment, pulling, pinning… thank goodness for Aveda Dry Remedy Shampoo and Conditioner that leaves my hair soft and smooth.
Aveda Inner Light Mineral Tinted Moisturizer In fact, all of my concealers, powders, and blushes are Aveda. I have really sensitive skin and I find Aveda products give the best results for daytime looks or camera ready red-carpet without giving me breakouts.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics eye shadows Gorgeous colors with none of the animal and chemical ingredients!
Tarte Cosmetics mascara A nice rich color that make your lashes look lovely.
Aveda lip liner and lip shine The average woman eats 4-9 pounds of lipstick in her lifetime… make sure it’s at least lipstick without lead or petroleum!
Of course living in Southern California I am outside a lot and always wear my sunscreen! I love this one by Jason!
L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream A little pricy but so worth it when my hands get super dry from all the cooking!
I love Scotch Naturals nail polish because it’s eco-friendly and they have great colors!
Alba Botanica Nourishing Coconut Milk Shave Cream gives a close shave and smells super fabulous!
EcoTools Recycled Plastic Bath Poof the best way to lather up!
I do have to give a shout out to my favorite salon in the world for giving me my eco-licious locks! Planet Salon in Beverly Hills is just the BEST!

Hi Leslie! I really liked your post, but I’m a bit confused…isn’t L’Occitane no longer cruelty-free?
