Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunchies

I grew up eating these!  We always called it "puppy chow".  It may look a little funny, it's not the most photogenic dessert ever. . . but it tastes amazing!!  You will be thanking me for this recipe!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunchies

What you'll need:

6 oz. chocolate chips

6 oz. butterscotch chips

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

5 cups cornflakes

What you'll do:

Melt the chocolate, butterscotch, and peanut butter in a large pot over low heat.  Stir until smooth.  Add the cornflakes and stir until coated.  Press into a 9 X 13 inch pan.  Refrigerate for several hours.

Enjoy and try not to eat the whole thing at once ; )

OMG – i LOVED this stuff as a kid & haven’t made it in forever! thanks for the reminder! :0) (I’ll have to modify the name though since i have another puppy chow recipe with chex mix, pb, chocolate & powdered sugar – i’m sure you’ve tried that kind – more snacky than this dessert! How about puppy chow bars?… :0)

I just made these up with my girls – so simple & they loved helping me measure, stir & of course – licking the bowl & spatulas!
